The House

Inside Maeve House

Maeve House is a modern clubhouse designed for work, conversation, and connection.

Members move naturally through the House during the day — settling in at shared tables, working from cozy corners, stepping outside for fresh air, or gathering for clubs and events.

It’s not an office and it’s not an event venue.

It’s a place to belong.

The Bedelia Room

When you walk through the yellow front doors, you enter the Bedelia Room, the heart of the House.

A large communal table anchors the space, with bistro tables and a cozy corner for conversation nearby. Double doors open onto a patio overlooking the back lawn, where members often step outside for a break beneath the live oak and pecan trees.

This room is also home to the Maevie Closet, stocked with chargers, office supplies, reading glasses, and the small things that make the House feel like home.

The Abby Room

Just down the hall is the Abby Room, one of the House’s quieter rooms.

An antique Belgian sofa and armchair create a cozy place to settle in, while standing desks beneath a large window look out onto the back lawn.

The Matilda Room

Further down the hall you’ll find the Matilda Room, another welcoming place to work or talk.

Banquette seating and bistro tables offer flexible spots for the day, while a cozy seating nook sits beneath the window. The printer closet lives here as well, stocked with supplies available to all Maevies.

The Mora Room

The Mora Room is filled with natural light from a large picture window overlooking the back lawn.

A communal table for six and a standing desk make it a favorite spot for settling in and focusing.

The Faye Room

The Faye Room has a relaxed workshop feel that many Maevies love.

Two large library tables can seat twelve together or be separated into smaller groupings. Cabinets throughout the room hold event supplies and monitors for full-time members.

Doors from the room open both to the parking area and the back lawn, making it a lively crossroads during the day.

The Break Room

At the center of the House is the Break Room, our kitchen.

Here you’ll find a coffee and tea station stocked with beans from a local South Austin roaster, Brewcado, along with Harney & Sons teas and a variety of sweeteners and milks.

The Maevie snack cupboard and fridge are filled with snacks, Waterloo, Topo Chico, and other drinks to keep everyone happily caffeinated throughout the day.

There’s also a small table for casual lunches and an arcade game tucked into the corner — because the House is meant to be enjoyable, not just productive.

The Fiona Room

The Fiona Room is the largest space in the House.

During week days it’s used for shared work tables. In the evenings and weekends, it transforms into the gathering space for clubs, workshops, and events.

The room was designed to be modular, with tables that can be rearranged or cleared depending on the occasion.

There’s one more room in the House most visitors don’t expect.

The Bessie Book Nook

Hidden behind a simple door in the Fiona Room is the Bessie Book Nook.

Painted in deep peacock blue with a wallpapered ceiling and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, it’s a quiet retreat within the House.

Some members use it for Zoom calls. Others curl up in the chair with a book and disappear for an hour.

The Details That Make the House

Every room at Maeve House has been layered with thoughtful details.

Original paintings by founder Sierra Bailey hang throughout the House. Vintage brass animals appear quietly on shelves and tables. Textiles sourced from around the world soften the rooms and help absorb sound.

Even the bathrooms are part of the experience — each layered with bold wallpaper, color, and playful design that visitors often talk about long after their tour.

Soft lo-fi music drifts from Sonos speakers during coworking hours, creating an atmosphere that feels calm and welcoming.

Members often describe Maeve House as their home away from home.

A Small Note About the Rooms

All of the rooms at Maeve House are named after dogs — past, present, and future members of Sierra and Adam’s family.

Each room features a framed line drawing of the dog it honors, a small reminder that the House was created with love, personality, and a sense of play.

Members often find themselves asking about the dogs during tours — and discovering that every room has a story behind its name.

Maeve House was designed to feel like a home away from home — a place where you can work, talk, read, and stay awhile.
